Logo Development –
Re-Emerging Scholars
The Sacramento City College Re-Emerging Scholars (RES) reached out to me seeking a logo for their program, which provides support to previously incarcerated students. Before jumping into the design process, I sat down with the directors and students in the program to really get a feel for who they were, what they wanted in a logo, and what RES meant to them. This research was integral to my later work- guided by their feedback, I created a series of logo concepts that reflected the group’s identity, and worked closely with them to choose a final design. Through this collaborative process of research, drafting, and refining, I was able to provide them with a logo they loved- that is still in use to this day.
